XATA Turnpike's RouteTracker is an Electronic On Board Recorder (EOBR) that is connected directly to the vehicles engine computer. Engine diagnostic reporting combined with GPS data is gathered to help fleets optimize their operations and automate regulatory compliance. The software application runs on a variety of handheld devices which are used to display electronic driver log books. The driver logs are 100% compliant with the most recent FMCSA regulations. The information collected by RouteTracker is immediately available to the end-user via web-based reporting and installation of the device takes less than 15 minutes per vehicle.

Turnpike Global Technologies has teamed with QUALCOMM Wireless Business Solutions to provide the first AUTOMATED end-to-end fuel and mileage tax solution. The solution is called TurnpikeDirect®. TurnpikeDirect® is an internet-based system that integrates seamlessly with QUALCOMM’S mobile communication solution. TurnpikeDirect leverages the standard data generated by the OmniTracs® solution to provide a cost-effective, web-based fuel and mileage tax application.

TURNPIKE HOURS OF SERVICE
The Turnpike Hours of Service (HOS) application will run on any Bluetooth and Java enabled handheld device. The HOS application is easy to use and was designed to be viewed in a similar fashion as traditional paper log books. The RouteTracker device is directly connected to the vehicle ECM and wirelessly connects the handheld to the vehicle by using Bluetooth technology. HOS will automatically change duty status based on vehicle movement and is fully compliant with section 395.15. GPS and engine diagnostic data are key components used to ensure HOS accuracy. Vehicle speed, RPM, and GPS data integration validate this process. All data is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via a secure website that can be accessed via the Internet.
